About the West Parry Sound Ontario Health Team
The West Parry Sound Ontario Health Team (WPS OHT) is a community-focused network that brings together local health and social service providers to create a more connected, inclusive, and responsive system of care. Our approach is grounded in relationships, trust, and a deep commitment to working with the community—not just for it.
WPS OHT prioritizes listening to voices that are often left out and ensures that decisions reflect the needs of the entire population, not just those who are easiest to reach. We value curiosity, collaboration, and transparency, believing that lasting change comes from asking better questions, staying open to learning, and building meaningful partnerships.
With a focus on continuous improvement and genuine collaboration, we are building a health system that supports people in ways that matter. And through it all, we bring a sense of joy and optimism, knowing that meaningful, positive change is not only possible—but already in motion.

Quintuple Aim
The West Parry Sound Ontario Health Team (WPS OHT) was founded in April 2024 as the last of Ontario’s 58 Ontario Health Teams established across the province. As part of Ontario Health’s vision for a more connected and high-performing health system, Ontario Health Teams were created to improve how care is planned, coordinated, and delivered at the local level.
In West Parry Sound, our partners work together across health and social care sectors to better meet the needs of our communities through collaboration, shared accountability, and integrated service delivery.
Quintuple Aim
Our work is guided by the Quintuple Aim—five priorities that shape high-quality, sustainable, and equitable care. We aim to:
Projects aim to:
- To enhance the experience of care for patients and caregivers
- To improve the health of our population
- To ensure our public health care system is sustainable for generations to come
- To support the well-being of providers
- To advance health equity
WPS OHT is also responsible for mobilising health and social services partners to respond to local, regional and provincial priorities.
