The West Parry Sound Ontario Health Team (WPS OHT) was founded in April 2024, as the last of 58 province-wide health teams.

The shared vision of the WPS OHT is to build a healthier and more equitable West Parry Sound community. Together with WPS OHT’s health and social service partners and the citizens of West Parry Sound, WPS OHT is committed to improving population health, enhancing patient and caregiver experiences, improving the sustainability of healthcare, supporting provider well-being and advancing equity.

To provide a trusted, equitable, and integrated system that continuously strengthens care, supports wellness for everyone in West Parry Sound, and creates a space where people, providers, and communities are actively connected, heard, and empowered to thrive.

We listen to and act on community voices to ensure inclusive decision making to build a future together.

We are driven by curiosity, deep listening, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We advance equity through shared power and the inclusion of underserved populations, including Indigenous communities, by centring those most affected by inequities.

We approach challenges with optimism, believing in our collective ability to create meaningful, lasting change.

We build trust through transparency, open communication, and meaningful action, honouring our commitment to community partners.
